For the challenge, you must provide a way for us to test your application. Inclusion of the Green Button “Connect My Data” API will be verified by connecting the submitted app with the simulated Data Custodian in the Test Lab environment.

Question 1

Which use cases from the Affinity Systems GB API list (Custodian and 3rd Party websites) are required to be demonstrated live in the apps submitted? What test data set(s) and account(s) from the Affinity Systems Test Lab will be used by the judges or can the developer specify an account to use?

Answer:

Per the Official Rules there are are no specific use cases, data sets, or accounts that are required. Any app that we can confirm utilizes the Ontario Green Button Connect My Data standard API will meet the API requirement. In the submission form there is a field for Testing Instructions. If your app requires that a certain account or dataset be selected by the user for testing, please indicate that in the Testing Instructions field by providing step-by-step instructions for testing the functionality of the app.

Question 2

Will these use cases be systematically verified by the judges equally across all submissions? Will a verification checklist be provided to developers as a guideline?

Answer:

There are no specific use cases that are required for this challenge. Verification will consist of ensuring that the submitted app utilizes the Ontario Green Button Connect My Data standard API. Additionally, testing will verify that the app can be successfully installed and launched, and that it works as depicted in the video and text description.

Question 3

If a submission fails on any step of the use case (internet connection, test lab, app) will they be automatically disqualified?
